COMPLETELY get rid of KERATOSIS PILARIS (kp) !!! Stupid red & purplish dots on arms and back...?

I've looked everywhere on the internet and can't decide on best treatment. I would love it if people who have had kp could tell me what they used to get rid of it, how and the time it took. I want to COMPLETELY get rid of them ASAP. Thanks heap - and as many answers as possible would be GREAT!

THANK YOU!

COMPLETELY get rid of KERATOSIS PILARIS (kp) !!! Stupid red %26amp; purplish dots on arms and back...?
This is actually pretty common so don't feel alone. I have moderate kp on the backs of my arms. What I generally do is, if there are any bumps, I pop any little pustules out and wash and exfoliate the area very well. To keep it from returning I exfoliate 1 or 2 times a day. (and I exfoliate harshly.) I use a special exfoliating soap, and rub the area with a hard bristled brush. If I slack off the spots return so it's a lot of work. I usually do it religiously in the summer, and slack off a little in the winter. It's all about stopping skin cells from building up in the follicles. so you have to do as much as you can to remove the ones that are ready to slough, and it will lessen. you could look at www.curezone.com and search for a kp forum for any suggestions. good luck
