I read some where on Yahoo! Answers and someone suggested to someone else to use AMLACTIN. I went down to my local target and picked it up, not on the shelf, but where the prescription medicine was, even though i didnt have a prescription.
That somewhat reassured me that it works. for 15 dollars it better. haha.
Does it work for anyone else out there with KP? any other things I should start doing or avoid to help with the healing process?
Does AMLACTIN really work for Keratosis pilaris?
I have never heard of amlactin. I also have keratosis pilaris on my arms, and am starting to develop it on my legs. It has been very annoying for me. I have been told to use products with "urea" but nothing had really worked for me. I saw a derm. and he recommended Carmol 20 (20% urea). I was kind of skeptical since I have never gotten results before. I paid about 15 dollars for the product (a little more than what I wanted to), but it is AMAZING!!! I've only used it for two days, and it has already made an incredible difference in the look and feel of my skin. Results probably do vary, though, depending on how bad you have it, but it is definitely worth a try. I wouldn't use the products together though, without consulting a doc. But if the product you bought doesn't work for you, I would definitely give this one a try! I bought it at a local drug store, but they had to order it (it is OTC though). I can't believe how well it is working. I'm hoping in a month, it will be completely gone. Hope this helps you some, and good luck!
