Just a few days ago I noticed a small red patch on my inner forearm. Thinking it was just some kind of scrape from a rough surface I didn't pay much attention to it. But when I noticed that there were little bumps I got kind of freaked out.
At first I thought they were pimples or zits which I thought was very odd seeing as how it just randomly appeared as a blotch on my forearm. But now they are raised, white and hard. It does not itch at all unless I intentionally apply force to rub/scratch it.
I'm pretty sure it isn't Keratosis pilaris as it is not red nor is it spread out over my entire arm.
This is what it looks like:

My mum told me to put some hydrogen peroxide and polysporin on it until we can get an appointment with the doctor. And right now I can tell it's a little bit irritated.
Please, I will be most grateful for any help at all.
Small white bumps on arm?
I absolutely agree with Sprintgirlracing. It seems the topical form of herpes zoster. Try to keep it clean and wash your hands everytime you touch it as it may appear in other areas of your body with contact. This applies also for contact with other persons.
It may be a bit painful (just a discomfortable pain, nothing horrible!) and itchy but try to remain calm and wait for your appoitment. I wouldn't put anything in it for the time being.
Most likely, if ot really is herpes zoster, you'll have to be on some antiviral for some days.
Just be attentive as it may spread to a larger area around.
Have you had the chickenpox? If u have already had it, this means that, for some reason, the virus (which stays dorment in your body for, in theory, always) has become active.
Get well soon!
Reply:go to a doctor
Reply:That looks like shingles or poison ivy - you better get that checked out.
Reply:looks like something from Alien. expect a little critter to pop out of your chest any second
Reply:it may be a minor rash so try some ointment or somethin! if that doesnt work then check a doctor! it may be serious! (i doubt that but still)
Reply:I've had it before don't worry too much, it'll go away and will never come back... after you deal with it!
I dealt with it by using common sense, and in an unconventional manner!
I popped those little sh*ts open, and removed any extra skin, then I rubber the area raw with gauze using plenty of alcohol it burned "so sweet", then after sterilizing the wound, I covered it for some time, then went at it again with alcohol. After like two days of messing with it I simply kept the area clean but uncovered so that it could dry up. Within days it was gone without a scar. I actually forgot about it completely until your picture reminded me!
Reply:it could be herpes... hv u had chickenpox in the past? or it could be begining signs of chickenpox... lol ... just a guess ...
Reply:could u have gotten into poisen ivy? also it could be a rash cause by something u may have changed, like...a different soap, deoderant, laundry detergent...def. see the doc though.
Reply:Since you're already setting up an appointment with the doctor, there's nothing else you can really do except try to remain calm about it.
Most likely, it's some kind of skin condition which will be treated with a topical cream. These kind of things happen to teenagers all the time and if it doesn't pass immediately after the treatment with the cream, it will in a year or two.
Relax, don't worry about it and have faith that the doctor will do his job right. And good luck!
Reply:are you allergic to anything?
did u come into contact with anything "infected" (side of a table will do it)
try to think about when it started and what u touched during that day
Reply:maybe poison ivy, oak, could be ant bites crazy as it sounds.
Reply:yes, see a doc but dont worry about it much. As you age your body will morph in all kinds of ways, most will be nothing to worry about.
Reply:You know what? It looks like Herpes Zoster, which isn't completely bad. My brother had it all over his back at one time. It meant that if you were playing sports, and maybe someone who had it grabbed your arm or something when you once had a scratch there or broken skin. A doctor will help you with this, but for now, keep it well moisturized, covered (band-aid, gauze/tape), and put some kind of ointment on it after washing it. Don't scratch or rub it, don't bother it, and anytime you touch it, wash your hands throughly to avoid passing it around - if it is what it might be. Until your doctor gives you a concrete answer, be nice to the rash and take as many precautions as you think you can. Also, make a log about its appearance, when it showed, how it's changed, and how it feels each day. It might be a benefit in the diagnosis.
Reply:I have something similar.. Here what my doctor told me but yours could be different.
Everytime you shower take a warm not hot warm bath with soap. No loofah. Just wash it.
Don't scratch it.
And eat less oily foods
Reply:heat rash or you allergic to something or you have been stung by a plant? it doesn't do you harm to flush out you re liver (look on the net organic ways to do so) don't panic its such a good example that you re body tells you to do something about it and such a good thing you noticed! don't worried though it looks harmless not life threatening ha ha.. they are little blisters so that means you re body is making an anti dose to get rid off them ( its surface flu ed) but as I say flush out you re liver that is also responsible for any toxins in you re system
Reply:ewww..i really did not need to see that!! go to a docter!!! looks like a rash or somthin???
